VUFF - Indian Flora Fauna: Welcome

VUFF - Indian Flora Fauna: Welcome:

Welcome to the new website of VUFF. It contains the most important information on the VUFF flora and fauna program in ham radio.

Some of the adventurous Indian ham radio operators, took to activating some of the VUFF sites.
It was the Bangalore Amateur Radio Club, with OM Ajoy VU2JHM, taking the lead, these activations were possible. The site nearest to Bangalore, was the site  VUFF -005, Bannerghatta Biological Park, which is just outside the city limits. With a special call sign AT8WFF, the site was activated, and many of the members of BARC took part. That was the humble  beginning.  The best so far, is the activation of Lakshadweep Marine Biosphere, from Minicoy Island, and the site was VUFF-0103.
This activation simultaneously activated the "Island on the Air" IOTA AS-106; and the "Light house on the Air" of the ARLHS  LAK-009.
