The above wordings are from the main page. Please do visit for more interesting and useful  information.
Almost all the European Countries and many from other continents  are members, Each country puts  XXFF -xxxx  as the WWFF site number for activation. The logs are uploaded to the main site, so that for Awards, you can do a log search and get your score and automatically apply for the award.

"The term 'Lets Save the Green Planet Earth' was initiated as the slogan for the WFF program.  Operators were encouraged whilst having a QSO with a WFF expedition, to transmit two figures…..'44'.  This meant 'Forty Four - Flora Fauna' and was interpreted as the slogan for WFF.

The first digit '4' represents the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire.
The second digit '4' represents the four directions: north, south, west, & east.
To this day, you will still hear operators using '44'.  "

The Indian thoughts involving 5 elements, 8 directions  are almost shown above.

India is  also  in the WWFF  group. India has over a 100 sites listed in the directory, with around 9 only activated. The new generation of  VU  hams must take the relay baton.
The Indian VUFF coordinator for the time being is Arasu VU2UR. If you have the interest to continue and expand the activity, this position is waiting for you.
